„Hart wie Kameldornholz ist unser Land“ (Our country is as hard as the wood of a camel thorn tree) is a verse of an old German song about South West Africa and there are probably no better words to describe Namibia. Even if you have heard or read many other reports of travellers – once you have seen the wide savannahs and dry rivers with your own eyes, experienced the amazing wild life and the impressive plains and let the sun touch your heart – then your search for a declaration of love is concluded. An old wise saying of the San (native inhabitants of Namibia) says:

„You come and you go, but if you return, you will stay forever.“
